These are finished and published. No account, no form, no fee. Take them into your own training and teach from them.
Evaluation starter kit
Theory of change, indicators, consent and interview guides, and a reporting outline.
Open → ChecklistAccessible research practice
Recruitment through dissemination, so accessibility is designed in rather than added.
Open → GuidePlain-language writing
Rules and worked before-and-after examples for findings people actually finish.
Open → Brief seriesWhat works notes
One recurring question at a time, with an honest confidence rating attached.
Open → MethodThe CometX Method
Scope, Evidence, Build, Transfer — published so you can run it without us.
Open → SummariesAll 20 publications, briefly
Two paragraphs each, for deciding what is worth your time.
Open →Courses we are building with partners.
These are in development, not open for enrolment. We are saying so plainly rather than listing courses you cannot take. Each is being designed with an association or a small or medium enterprise that already works in the area, so the content comes from practice rather than from us alone.
- Accessibility
Meeting the December 2026 deadline
What the AODA filing actually requires, how to test the six failures that account for most errors, and what a certifier is signing. Read the underlying report.
- Evaluation
Evaluation for organizations without an evaluator
Built directly on the starter kit, for teams asked for outcomes they were never resourced to measure.
- Writing
Plain language for technical teams
Turning findings into something a board or a funder will read to the end.
- Method
Running Scope → Evidence → Build → Transfer
For teams who want to use the method internally rather than buy the engagement.
We would rather build a course with you than about you.
Academy courses are designed with associations, sector bodies and small and medium enterprises who already hold the practical knowledge. We bring the research, the instructional design and the accessibility; the partner brings the sector.
Associations
Member training that carries your name, built on evidence rather than opinion, and accessible by default so no member is excluded.
Small and medium enterprises
Practitioners who know a trade or a sector and want it taught properly. You supply the expertise; we handle design, accessibility and evaluation.
Community organizations
Where a course would serve a community rather than a market, we look for funding rather than a fee, and say so up front.
What a partnership looks like
Roles, ownership of the material, revenue if any, and how either side can end it — agreed in writing before design starts. Our community partnership agreement template is the starting point, and the course materials are published under Creative Commons unless there is a specific reason not to.
Tell us what your people need to do differently.
Not what topic you want covered — what should change on the Monday after. That is where we start, and it is usually a shorter conversation than people expect.
- Delivered in English or French, in person or online.
- Materials meet WCAG 2.2 AA before delivery, not on request afterwards.
- Not-for-profit and community rates, plus pro bono capacity each year.
- You keep the materials and can run the session again without us.

Courses are added here as they are finished, and announced in the research newsletter. Nothing is listed before you can actually take it.
